Located in a region rich with ancient traditions, cultural heritage, and deep historical ties to the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Laos), Non Sanga Nong Waeng Witthaya School is a small extended educational opportunity school.
We serve 136 students ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 9 (Matthayom 3) with a dedicated team of 19 staff members (16 government teachers and 3 regular support staff). While our community is eager to learn, our school faces a major challenge: we only have one certified English teacher who also manages a heavy workload teaching other subjects.
Consequently, our primary students in Grades 1 to 6 are taught English by their primary homeroom teachers, who lack formal English backgrounds and often struggle with teaching confidence. As a volunteer, your role is pivotal. You will collaborate directly with these homeroom teachers in a co-teaching model, spending 2 hours per week per class (a total of 12 hours/week).
By bringing interactive role-play, conversational practice, and basic computer training into the classroom, you will help bridge the educational gap for our students while providing sustainable mentorship to our local teaching staff.

Volunteer Role & Responsibilities
You can choose to participate in one or multiple focus areas based on your background and interests: Teaching English, Basic Computer Training, and Community-Based Tourism.
Co-Teach Primary English (12 Hours/Week):
Partner with primary homeroom teachers for Grades 1–6 (2 hours/week per grade level).
Lead interactive language activities focusing on the 4 core skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.
Introduce conversational role-plays, pronunciation games, and vocabulary drills to make learning engaging and fun.
Teacher Mentorship & Capacity Building:
Model communicative English teaching techniques so homeroom teachers can learn by observing.
Help local staff build confidence in their own English pronunciation, vocabulary, and lesson planning.
Digital & Computer Skills Training (Optional/Flexible):
Guide students through basic digital literacy, internet research skills, and introductory computer applications in the school lab.
Extracurricular & Enrichment Programs:
Participate in Thailand’s "Moderate Class, More Knowledge" enrichment initiative, sports programs, and school creative arts.
Community Engagement & Local Tourism:
Join local village ceremonies, cultural preservation activities, and community-based tourism projects alongside teachers and local residents.
