Openmind Training Center
A physical learning hub for young people in the community, flexible enough to host programmes shaped by local needs and opportunities. This is where collaboration starts and where learners keep coming back.
20+ years in 3 countries teaching, mentoring, and building skills with 37,000+ youth across Southeast Asia.
Our aim is to help close the digital and educational divide for disadvantaged youth in rural Southeast Asia. We envision a future of equal opportunity, where every young person, no matter their background, has the hope and confidence to realise their dreams.
OpenmindProjects is a nonprofit charity founded in Thailand in 2002. We started with IT learning for the underprivileged in 2001 and have since expanded to help disadvantaged people throughout Southeast Asia. We are supported by a local and global network of staff, trainees, volunteers, friends, and alumni. Our focus is on helping poor children through schools, camps, and a Training Center. The Covid pandemic disrupted our work, leading us to launch online training programs. We are now working to restart our pre-Covid projects and welcome volunteers. As a nonprofit charity, we rely on donations to continue our mission.
One home base. Immersive camps. Field work with schools and communities. Continued learning on OpenSkills. Four ways we open doors for young people across Southeast Asia.
At our center Learning, collaboration and growth under one roof
A physical learning hub for young people in the community, flexible enough to host programmes shaped by local needs and opportunities. This is where collaboration starts and where learners keep coming back.
In communities Experiential learning where young people already are
Immersive experiences where young people strengthen life skills, creativity, teamwork and thinking through real-world challenges, delivered in the communities themselves.
In communities & schools Local partnerships that scale opportunity
Community-based initiatives that expand access to education, digital skills and opportunity, working alongside schools and local partners so impact can grow beyond a single programme.
Anywhere, anytime Shared learning that continues beyond the programme
After the Training Center, Active Learning Camps or Field Projects, learning continues on OpenSkills — our shared learning platform for continued self-growth, keeping participants connected to mentors, peers and practical tools so one opportunity can grow into many more.
